The Lotus Temple in Delhi, India, is a Hindu shrine. The Lotus Temple is a Baha'i religious building dedicated to the faith. Built from Greek white marble, the temple is designed in the shape of a lotus flower. Since the lotus is found in many religions, including Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam, it was chosen as the symbol. There's a lotus flower-like structure to this spectacular edifice, making it one of the most visited places in the world. There are seven Baha'i Houses of Worship in the globe, and this is one of them. |
