Name : Yamunotri Temple, Uttarakhand
Information : Along with Gangotri, Yamunotri is another important temple to visit. This temple is devoted to the Yamuna River and is near to the Gangotri temple, as its name implies. It is also one of India's oldest temples, having been constructed in the 19th century. The temple stands 3291 metres above sea level and has a black marble statue of Goddess Yamuna. The various hot water springs that surround the shrine are another attraction. Devotees must also walk a long ways to visit the temple because there is no other means to get there.
