BL's wedge of 1975 was only known as the Austin Princess in New Zealand, despite the fact that the model name dates back to 1957. From its inception in March 1975 in all other markets, it was marketed as the Morris, Austin, or Wolseley 18-22 series, but in September of that year, Leyland developed a one-vehicle sub-brand named Princess, and the car was sold under that badge instead. |
