The Gaylord Gladiator, designed by Brooks Stephens, the man credited with pioneering planned obsolescence in items, was his crowning achievement, looking completely outmoded from the minute they removed the covers. Of course, as we know from the film Meet the Fokkers, the name Gaylord is not amusing. |
