This one comes in the United States and has nothing to do with burgers. It's basically a vegetable and beef stew that's been simmered. The name comes from a number of sources, although it might be derived from the French term ragout, which means "meat stew." Bulgur is also said to be a mispronouncement of barbeque, leading to the belief that people mispronounced "bulgar" as "burgoo" throughout time and with different accents. |
