This list has a variety of religious foods, although this one has nothing to do with choking priests. This is a pasta salad that was popular hundreds of years ago in Italy, when priests were allowed to eat it for free. But it wasn't by the restaurant owners' decision; it was by "law." Some restaurant owners prayed that priests choked on this dish so that they wouldn't have to give it away for free before the more expensive next course of the dinner. |
