The vicua is the smallest of the camelids, standing at about 90 cm (36 inches) at the shoulder and weighing in at around 50 kg (110 lb) (110 pounds). Vicuas have a loud, piercing whistle that they use when they feel threatened. Both their eyesight and hearing are far superior to their sense of smell. |
