A species of gecko, the Virgin Islands dwarf sphaero (also known as the Virgin Islands dwarf gecko) is one of the smallest vertebrates found on land. Its top surface is a dark brown colour, often spotted with darker scales. Dwarf sphaero in the Virgin Islands can be found on drier hillsides, although it is most at home in the damper microhabitats it finds between rocks. |
