Origin: Asia. The bodies of newts are fashioned like lizards, with four legs and lengthy tails. The majority have smooth, moist skin, however certain species, such as rough-skinned newts, have rough, grainy skin, as one might anticipate. Most species have well-developed lungs, but other species maintain their gills and are entirely aquatic. |
