The temple is often called the Lotus Temple, Wat Pathum, and is named from the palace's name Wat Sra Pathum. A wild oval of water is all remains from a huge lotus pool, next to a parking lot. Locals wish health and success at a Buddha's shrine below a nearby Bodhi tree when they are burning incense. |
