Pico de Orizaba Vulcano, commonly known as Volcano of Citlaltepetl, volcano on the boundary of the states of Veracruz and Puebla. The Nahuatl name for "Star Mountain" comes from the Nahuatl. At now the volcano is inactive, but not extinguished, with the last eruption in the 19th century. After Mount Kilimanjaro Africa it is the second most conspicuous volcanic mountain in the world. |
