Dendera One of Luxor's finest attractions, formerly known as Tentyris, was one of ancient Egypt's most significant religious centres. It is on the western bank of the Nile River, in Egypt south of Qena. The Dendera zodiac, the circular calendar on the ceiling commonly shown in albums and postcards, is a key element of the temple. |
