A thin, snake-like body and flattened head possesses the electric eel. It is usually dark grey to brown with a thick and scaleless skin and a yellow-orange colour on its underside. The electric eel lacks pelvic fins, similar to other angel-shaped fish. It has a caudal finish, tiny or reduced and also no dorsal fins. |
