Shore Temple, on the Bay of Bengal's coast at Mahabalipuram, is a fine example of the temple style of the 8th century AD. The temple, which is made up of massive granite stones, is a key element of Mahabalipuram's temple complex and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also one of South India's oldest stone temples. |
