Information : Tamil Nadu's Ramanathaswamy Temple is located in Rameshwaram. As the title indicates, Ramanathaswamy refers to Lord Shiva who is the main focus of the temple's worship. As part of the temple, there are two "lingams": one constructed by Devi Sita out of sand, and the other brought by Hanuman from Kailasha (home of Lord Shiva) and placed by Rama. During Maha Shivratri, millions of visitors go to the temple to see the temple tanks, hall of 1000 pillars, and many other shrines.
