It is located in the town of Katra, in the Jammu-Kashmir district of Reasi and one of the most respected and distinctive temples in India. It takes a long journey of around 12 km at a height of 5,300 feet to reach the temple on the top. In fact, the temple is in a cave and there is no statue but three rock heads, named pindi. Every year millions of people visit the shrine of Vaishno Devi Temple. The Temple is open all year round. |
